Introduced at Expedite Expo 2010 in Wilmington, Ohio, we have developed an accessory that will keep the Zerkap nearby for reuse after removal when servicing the zerk fitting.
The "tether" is made of the same material as the Zerkap and is available in the same colors. Installation is quick and easy and does not require that you remove the zerk fitting prior to installation. Since Zerkap is designed to be reusable, the "tether" will keep it from becoming contaminated or misplaced.

Zerkap ends the time-consuming, messy task of cleaning grease fittings before servicing, and minimizes the risk of dirt being injected into bearings and other greased components.
Whether you own a small tractor or manage a large fleet of equipment, Zerkap ensures that bearings and other greased components are serviced properly. Many technicians and employees do not clean grease fittings before servicing, which results in reduced component life. Zerkap is a cost-effective device that keeps grease zerks clean, free of dirt and easy to service. It is simple to use, durable, and fits all standard grease fittings. Zerkap is made from a thermoplastic elastomer called SantopreneTM which stands up to damaging conditions including fertilizer, calcium chloride, oil and sunlight.
Zerkap snaps over the nipple of a grease zerk and locks around the neck, creating a water-tight seal which prevents rust where water is normally present. The bottom flare scrapes away the excess grease that remains after servicing and seals around even wide-based zerks. The flare also prevents grease from getting on the cap, which keeps the cap grease free after installation. The domed top provides an easy way to grip and remove the cap prior to servicing, and provides a way to snap on a new cap after servicing.
