NEW PRODUCT
Now available for your 2-bay offset hopper is a set of replacement steps! These steps often break and were originally part of the body molding. There no longer is a need to try and piece these back together. Replace them instead!
Simply cut off the broken step even with the sill, drill two 1/16" holes and cement the new step into place. Paint to match and you have an exact replacement to make your car look complete again.

Continuing forward with our commitment to fill the gap with Midwest railroads in 1:32 scale, Mainline America is producing a 40' refrigerated box car in Milwaukee Road (MILW) livery. Milwaukee Road had many steel refrigerated box cars after the second world war as wood cars were being replaced in favor of their steel counterparts. Several manufacturers made these cars including General American and Pullman Standard, and the variations in Milwaukee Road paint schemes varied greatly. Most of the box cars carried URTX markings as they were leased from Union Refrigerator Transit Lines.
Our version of this car carries a build date of 06-51, is in the orange and black scheme with black ends, roof and under-body. The car will also have under-body and end brake detail with non-operable doors and ice hatches. Four road numbers will be available - 38765, 38778, 38780 and 38791. We complete the car with hook and loop couplers, Bettendorf freight trucks and our 1:32 engineered plastic wheels. The car will come with both 1:32 and 1:29 wheel sets.
The Milwaukee Road reefer will be a great additional to your railroad as these cars could be seen from the Midwest to the West on a daily basis throughout the 1950's and 60's. You will be able to purchase your URTX car late Spring 2011 from our online store.

A new accessory is being produced and is currently finishing the design stage. Traffic channelization barrels will be available late spring, just in time for your layout construction to begin (at least in Chicago - LOL). They will be in kit form and sold in a set of six. They can be purchased with or without the flashing light module.

New tooling is complete for replacement steps for your 2-bay hopper cars. These steps will fit our hopper cars and those built by MDC and PIKO. You can remove and replace you broken steps in minutes and then paint to match. They will be sold in a set of four. Now available in our online commerce store.

New tooling is currently being produced for a single and double searchlight target. They will be available in left or right orientation and have a Pennsylvania style ladder, hoops and platforms. As usual, entirely manufactured here in our plant.
