WILMINGTON, OH - Expedite Expo had more than just trucking professionals at their show this year. Zerkap made a big splash by introducing a new accessory to use in conjunction with Zerkap. A "tether" is now available that can be snapped over both the zerk fitting and the Zerkap base to keep the grease fitting cover with the fitting. Removal of the zerk fitting is not necessary in order to install the tether.
The product will be available in the same colors as the Zerkap itself, and can be purchased along with Zerkap online at the company Store.

MAINLINE AMERICA ACQUIRES FORMER MDC INVENTORY
|
| MERRILLVILLE, IN - The model train division of Midwest Companies, Inc. just announced that they have struck a deal to purchase the remaining G-Scale production inventory of MDC (Model Diecast Trains). MDC was purchased by Athearn several years ago for their quality line of HO and N Scale tooling, and the G Scale product was included as part of the deal. MDC had not been producing G Scale trains for some time before the company was sold to Athearn. There had been some product available in the eBay marketplace up until early this year, but a majority of it was rejected production inventory.
Mainline America will be assembling, decorating and selling the G Scale inventory that has been purchased, and will eventually go into full production with new updated tooling over the next 2 years. All of the trains will be manufactured in Merrillville IN at the Midwest Companies North American facility.
Look for MDC parts and kits to be available at our online commerce store by the end of 2007.

PRODUCT INNOVATIONS, LLC INTRODUCES ZERKAP

MERRILLVILLE, IN - The Zerkap division of Midwest Companies, Inc. has reached an agreement with Product Innovations, LLC to purchase the Zerkap tooling and all rights (including trademark and patent) for an undisclosed sum. Zerkap is the leading protectant for zerk grease fittings in the world.
MERRILLVILLE, IN - Product Innovations, LLC of Fairbury, IL has agreed to enter into an agreement with Midwest Companies, Inc. as manufacturer licensee of their new protective cap for zerk grease fittings. Dubbed "Zerkap", the top-hat looking rubber cap fits snugly around a zerk fitting and protects it from moisture, dirt and chemicals that often deteriorate or render the fitting unusable. The new product is patented and trademarked in the U.S.A..
"By keeping dirt and debris away from the fitting, servicing becomes much easier and cleaner. Many times, undesirable matter gets injected into lubrication servicing because the zerk is encrusted in it", states Joseph Novosel Jr. President of OEM Operations at the Company. "We believe that PI (Product Innovations) has developed a great product not only for the transportation industry but for any company that has zerk fittings on their machinery".
Production is scheduled to begin June 2007, and be available in the marketplace by mid-summer.

AMF BOWLING STRIKES AGAIN

MERRILLVILLE, IN - AMF Bowling Products (a.k.a. Qubica AMF), Mechanicsburg, VA recently contracted Midwest Companies to continue to manufacture a proprietary L.E.D. product for 2007. Midwest has been partnering with AMF since the 2001 inception of the product, and has built over 5,000 assemblies since 2003. These exclusive lighting units are seen every day in bowling centers around the world.
